MCAT Preparation
Realizing that health profession schools often view national tests with equal importance as undergraduate coursework, the University of Richmond offers a MCAT prep course (IDST 281) for pre-medical students. Unlike most universities where students must go off-campus to take MCAT prep courses through private test prep providers, the University of Richmond offers a tuition-free course to students who express a desire to attend medical school. The course incorporates weekly homework practice items, small group problem-solving sessions, full-length MCAT practice examinations and peer tutoring. The course is offered every spring semester and is designed to prepare students for a summer MCAT administration. It is open to all full-time students who have completed their pre-medical coursework.
